Omtropy - Stress Management

"The greatest revolution  in our generation is the discovery that human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds can change the outer aspects of their lives"

William James.

According to recent research as much as 95% of disease is related to stress and life-style factors.  We create our own stress in life by the way we perceive and respond to others and the world.  We project our stress on to others under the illusion that "they" are to blame, they are responsible for our suffering.

Not only do we live in a changing world, but the speed of change is ever on the increase and with it come stresses and confusion.   Stress Management is about taking charge of our own lives to make them more workable and more enjoyable.

All of us at some time in our lives will encounter stress.  To a degree, this can be stimulating and sometimes necessary.  However, a continued high level of stress can lead to physical and emotional ailments and ultimately mental  breakdown.  Common sources of stress are are bereavement, poor work life balance, relationship issues, academic pressures, lack of self confidence to name just a few.  Frequently the cause of a person's stress is a combination of two or more sources.

I work with clients to identify the causes of their stress and then provide them with the necessary tools, guidance and ongoing support to help them to reduce it.   Clients have included people facing chronic (sometimes terminal) illness,  family & relationship breakdown and many work related issues.
